In my opinion, firefighters are the most underrated public servants. Every time the bell at the firehouse rings, these heroes risk their lives to save other’s lives. Giving children a glimpse of what it means to be a firefighter will give them they recognition they deserve. In an effort to provide training to the citizens fire academy team, the Martin County Fire Rescue team are pleased to announce the huge success and experience they had. The training went on for seven weeks without any charge to the taxpayers.
Organizers were fully committed on this program by volunteering their time and energy. In that way, their efforts of working 24/7 will instill in the minds of the residents a better understanding of the valuable work that they do.

Twelve Citizen’s Fire Academy cadets witness a live call and response operation in 911 Center Johns Creek GA Patch. They took off early in morning for their ChatComm field trip. The cadets were eager to see how emergency calls are relayed from the field and were done in real time.

Montgomery County Fire Academy located in Pennsylvania started its Summer Essentials six-week daytime training program for volunteer firefighters for a second year with a new class of 26 students. The reason for the daytime training to accomodate students that are not able to attend class during the school year. This type of "thinking outside the box" will help to recruit new volunteers for the area.

Bailey Crafton and his brother, Logan Dunavent, were serious about Southaven’s Fire Academy for Kids, as the two wore colorful flame-decorated shorts on their third day in the training camp.
The two are among 20 kids taking part in Southaven’s first junior fire academy.
The weeklong academy started Monday, and by Wednesday most of the kids had already decided they want to be firefighters when they grow up.

The Leander fire department offers a seven-week citizen’s fire academy designed to educate and develop residents’ awareness and understanding of the role of the fire department within its community.
The program runs June 29 through Aug. 10 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesdays at the Leander Fire Administration building at 101 E. Sonny Dr., next to the police administration building.

The eight-week academy will meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. every Thursday beginning May 26 and will last through July 16 in the training room at Fire Station No. 3. This is the first time the Coppell Fire Department will be hosting the academy.
