Citizen’s Fire Academy Goes on a Chatcomm field trip

19 June 2012 No Comment

Twelve Citizen’s Fire Academy cadets witness a live call and response operation in 911 Center Johns Creek GA Patch. They took off early in morning for their ChatComm field trip. The cadets were eager to see how emergency calls are relayed from the field and were done in real time.
It was in October 2008 when ChatComm was brought into being. This state-of-the-art call center helps provide awareness and structure for 911 operations in North Fulton. Chatcomm belongs to the Smart 911 network wherein residents can have their own profiles online where personnel can immediately respond to a call.
